When you’re buying or selling a home on Long Island’s North Shore, you’re not just making a financial decision. You’re making a decision about your life. Where your kids will go to school, which neighbors you’ll wave to every morning, which roads you’ll know by heart. That kind of decision deserves more than a transaction. It deserves a relationship.
We’ve been part of this community for decades. Michael grew up in St. James. Holly raised her daughters in Three Village. Between us, we’ve watched neighborhoods evolve, seen market cycles come and go, and built friendships with the people who live, work, and put down roots here. That’s not something you can replicate with a database or an algorithm.
What local knowledge actually looks like
It means having the kind of context that only comes from years of working in the same neighborhoods. It means understanding the nuances of each community, each street, and each property type in a way that only deep local experience can provide. It means having relationships with the attorneys, inspectors, and mortgage professionals who will show up and do the job right.
It means knowing the history. On the North Shore, history matters. Many of the homes here have stories: original wide-plank floors, hand-hewn beams, connections to families who shaped this region. We don’t just sell these homes. We understand them. Michael is one of Long Island’s foremost authorities on historic properties, and Holly is personally restoring her second historic home on the North Shore.
Relationship-driven, not transaction-driven
We co-founded the Karing for Kids fundraiser to benefit Stony Brook Children’s Hospital because we believe in giving back to the community that has given us so much. We’re active members of the Three Village Historical Society because we care about preserving what makes this place special. These aren’t marketing bullet points. They’re who we are.
When you work with us, you’re working with people who will still be here long after the closing. People who will run into you at the farmers market, cheer at the same community events, and genuinely care how things turned out for you.
That’s what local means to us.
